It is interesting that ECMR are advertising a cut price Spectrum Mountain in
their list this week and they describe it as a 'growler'.

P2K steam?
I've picked up a whisper on rmr that Life Like may be proceeding with a
steam loco. A USRA 0-8-0 has been mentioned as a possibility and Jim Six,
who often knows about these things is predicting

Thanks for the comments - the drivers are a bit limiting, but it's hard to
see how they could have got a scale wheelbase without making them a little
smaller than scale - the same problem arises but

It gets better - I made the comment about new tender trucks. I understand
that they are shipping the engines with different tender trucks depending
on the paint job, which will make life easier.

Yes they�re out � in these parts at least. I picked up mine from Porter-Wynn
in Clitheroe this morning and thought I�d share first impressions.

Pullman Green. Also there are a number of types considering air
conditioning. The letter boards are also different. Some have the MoP on
them and other the Pullman lettering with MP initials.

Yes Eldon, it's Westside, listed as a GS7/8. They were former SSW
engines transferred to the SP as the Belt dieselised. The first came
about 1950.
