Am looking for info on the MDC HOn3 inside frame 2-8-0 kit.
Specificaly info on re-gearing/re-motoring, and any construction tips
in general.

I agree that it's time for better tires on steam engines. Solid Nickel
Silver would probably be the easier to do as NWSL seems to have no problem
doing solid NS wheels. Steel will rust and SS steel,

Yes you can use the 2-8-0 for 1930. They were found everywhere up until the
end of steam.
