    Speaking of old engines I still have my first engine.  Bought it when I was 15 (1957) and it was fully assembled and ran like a charm.  A super Varney 2-8-2 with the 7 pole motor.  It pulled well as the boiler was cast brass.  I still remember the price ($28) and I worked and saved some time to get it.
