Re: [RepowerAndRegear] the problems in Yahoo Groups (YG)
Both. Oath published a business plan as a mobile media company, so desktop software support like e-mail and lists at YahooGroups are not in that target group. Technical support access from Verizon ended last month and so far Oath has not stepped up. Of a greater concern is that they have been forcing lists on groups.io to unsubscribe members who have not taken the Oath pledge for their e-mail provider (those now controlled by Oath). If you have been asked to take the Oath Pledge and declined, you may find yourself denied access to lists on YG and have your e-mail address marked as spam by Oath forcing groups.io to terminate your subscription. This last week several instances of the latter, unsubscription from lists on groups.io by Oath for users of AOL.com e-mail. Previously it had been Yahoo.mail
And hopefully for those who are trying to access lists on YahooGroups they may realize that the Oath Pledge is why their access has been denied.
