Shal, you are right I can see some areas in "e mail delivery history" where there are messages that you may be able to explain for me
1/ When Message Reason Oct 25 [Group_Help] Member vanished extmail.bigpond.com: 550 5.7.1 Connection refused. 66.175.222.12 is blacklisted in Spamhaus RBL List. See http://www.spamhaus.org/query/bl?ip=66.175.222.12 ***I checked Spamhaus and I am not on their list******* 2/ [AUS-CONVICTS] William Kelly Attempted Apr 19 Response extmail.bigpond.com: 421 4.4.2 Connection refused from 66.175.222.12 due to exceed max concurrent connections. IB007 3/ [AUS-QLD] World War 2 Records Attempted Jul 19 Response extmail.bigpond.com: 421 4.4.2 Connection refused from 66.175.222.12 due to exceed max concurrent connections. IB007 4/ Message [Genealogy-SE-Qld-Aust] Toowoomba cemetery Attempted Sep 29 Response extmail.bigpond.com: 421 4.4.2 Connection refused from 66.175.222.12 due to exceed max concurrent connections. IB007 5/ When Message Reason Oct 17 [Germans-Queensland-Australia] Surnames: KEDING, STERNBERG, STEGER, GEGENWARD(T) extmail.bigpond.com: 550 5.7.1 Connection refused. 66.175.222.12 is blacklisted in Spamhaus RBL List. See http://www.spamhaus.org/query/bl?ip=66.175.222.12 Oct 17 [Germans-Queensland-Australia] Surnames: WEINHEIMER; MELCHERT; WEIBLER extmail.bigpond.com: 550 5.7.1 Connection refused. 66.175.222.12 is blacklisted in Spamhaus RBL List. See http://www.spamhaus.org/query/bl?ip=66.175.222.12 *****I checked Spam and I am not on their list******* > When I look at groups message section I can see messages that I have > not received. Good first confirmation. > I cannot see any reason on delivery areas to help me find a reason. What does the Email Delivery History tab on the Subscription page a given group say about the messages sent to you? There should be at least one shown in one of the three panels (Successful, Unsuccessful, or Bounce). This tells you what Groups.io knows about the fate of the messages sent to you. If a message is listed as Successful then it is in the hands of your email service, and/or your email interface. It is there that you'll need to look for a solution. Otherwise, quote the Reason text for us and maybe we can help you puzzle out the meaning. > All of my groups are set to receive all messages so there must be some > thing wrong with the system that I do not understand. Undoubtedly true, if by "the system" you include your email service and interface. A very long shot is that you've somehow managed to mute all currently active topics in those groups. Do the missing messages show up here: https://groups.io/topics?m=1 or here: https://groups.io/mutedhashtags There have been discussions recently in beta about certain blacklist vendors listing Groups.io as as spam source. If your email service pays attention to one of those then it may affect delivery of messages to you. Or, your email service may have decided on its own to intercept messages from Groups.io. Your service could be rejecting messages from Groups.io, in which case they would show up in the Recent Bounces panel. Your service could be quarantining messages from Groups.io, in which case they would show up in the Successful panel, and likely in a "spam" or "junk" folder in your service's webmail interface. Your service could be greylisting messages from Groups.io, in which case they will show up in the Unsuccessful panel, and maybe be successful or bounced later. https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Greylisting_(email) Shal |

Colin,
Shal, you are right I can see some areas in "e mail delivery history"Excellent! Oct 25 ... extmail.bigpond.com: 550 5.7.1 Connection refused.Spamhaus is one of the blacklist vendors recently mentioned. "RBL" stands for "Real Time Blacklist". ***I checked Spamhaus and I am not on their list*******No, it is Groups.io's outbound mail server (IP address 66.175.222.12) that is listed (or was at the time of that message). And because of that BigPond decided not to accept that message for delivery. This is already on Groups.io's radar: https://beta.groups.io/g/main/message/26632 Apr 19 ... extmail.bigpond.com: 421 4.4.2 Connection refused fromThis is an older problem that I think has been fixed. "We have to track how many concurrent connections we have to each email service, because many services restrict the number of connections we can have to them" September 24th: https://beta.groups.io/g/main/message/26322 But if you see it happen on a new message by all means post a new topic about it in beta.
