Yes, there is a very big bug in the platform! I had to create another group ed transfer there all the members. I lost all my file. Now i payed a yearly subscription with the new list, but i think that a very big and red warning must be put in the instruction: "if a payment list, with more of 100 members, will be downgraded you will lost everything!".

Every message sent by members and distributed to members of the group via email will have the senders email address in it, just the nature of email lists.  He could also see them if he's an owner (or moderaor with the proper permissions set.)

Anyone can see how many members there are by looking at the Home page of the group, even if they're not a member.

BTW, there is a separate Settings page for each group and subgroup.

Which group have you made changes on and which one is your subscriber talking about? The main group or your subgroups?  Each one is independent and you will need to make changes on each.

Hello
I am new to groups.io and started a paid subscription mailing list. Unfortunately one of my subscribers tells me he can see all members information. I have a mainlist and then two sub groups.

I have already gone to Admin:Settings:Privacy and changed “Member List Visibility” to "Owners Only”.

All this and he can see who the members are and their email address and the number of people on the mailing list.

I have checked the Activity log again. There is nothing from this
member. I have checked the group address she has typed (which she ccd
to me) and it is correct.
I don't know what to tell you. Those two facts don't go together. There must be something we've missed.

For example, if she was posting from an address which is being logged, but which you don't recognize as being her.

See if you can get her to try once more, and when her message "bounces back" forward that bounce message on to you. The bounce message should have a sentence that explains why her message is being sent back.

She has given up trying and I think I have too. Why does everything
have to be so complicated!
It shouldn't be, and I don't think it is for most people most of the time. But that's no comfort for you or your member.

I think you may have uncovered a bug.  Since this situation is fairly new, not many people have had a chance to see how things operate.  From your description, it sounds like you'd have to reduce the number of members below 100 before you could upgrade again.  That would be a pain, but also shouldn't be happening from what I've read.  You should report it on the beta group using the #bug hashtag including details, especially your last message.  You'll need to join the group if you're not already a member.

Thank you for your help, but i've just tried many times to upgrade the group following the procedure in your mail. Every time, after clicked on "+ upgrade", in the next screen, when i clik on the green botton of "upgrade with yearly billing" in the Premium Plan, it appears the screen below. It's like a infinite loop. It seems that, since the group is locked, i can do nothing more, neither to upgrade it.  
Hoping to be able to unlock and upgrade my group, i'm waiting for your help. Thanks

you can change the email address you are subscribed to a group with in your Account. Groups.io will send a confirmation email to the 'old' account which you will need to respond to in order to complete the change.

Look at your Admin menu and select the +Upgrade option  (Admin > +Upgrade)





and then on the next page use the button. You can select the upgrade options you want from there.

Thank you for the answer.
Really, my group now has 113 members and so it was locked when my mounthly plain expired, it becomes bigger than I thought.
I want to upgrade it, payinng an annual plain, but it is not possible, every operation is locked, there is only a red button still ready: "delete the group". There are no instruction in the help center. There is not a "unlocked" button. It meens that I have to delete my group and tansfer it in other platform?

A group can be locked and unlocked in Admin > Settings using the Lock Group button.  See the section in the Owner's Manual about locking and unlocking groups groups.

Also, If a group created after Monday, February 8th, 2021 at 9am Pacific Time upgrades to premium, gains more than 100 members, and then later downgrades back to free, the group will be locked until the member list is reduced to 100 members.  See https://beta.groups.io/g/main/message/27191 for more details on that.

Unfortunately there doesn't seem to be an easy way to do this and a 'last' selection is not available when selecting the repetition.  The only way I've found of quickly getting events in a calendar on a 'last' day is to (using your requirements):
  • Create a repeating monthly event starting on a 4th Friday (which will be the last Friday for some months)
  • On the months where there is a 5th Friday, edit the event, change the date and save for 'The Event Only'

From the current date to the end of 2021 you should need to move 3 events.

Trying to set up a recurring meeting on the last Friday of the month. But the only option seems to be either the fourth or fifth Friday. I don't want the fourth Friday! If I select the fifth Friday, the event is only created when there are five Fridays in the month - I was hoping Groups.io might interpret the fifth as 'last'!

Any solution to this problem? Thanks!
