EMAIL DID NOT GO THROUGH

One of the members sent an email around 12:08 pm this afternoon and again at 6:38 pm both of the emails never were sent or received by the group.
Is / was there an issue?

I emailed it out and a few moments ago and it went and was received by the group.

If they don't show up in the Activity Log for that group, they weren't received by groups.io  Likely a problem with that person's email service.

A common issue is that the person sent the email to Groups.io from an address they are not subscribed with. As Duane said, the Activity Log is a good place to start checking. In particular, look for messages like:

Non-member <email-address> attempted to send message "<message-subject>" via email

If a person has a need to send a message from a different address, they should define an alias for their account. Details are given in the Member's Manual for this.
