Copy a database?
Peter
We would like to copy the structure of a database to create a new one - retaining the original. Is this possible and, if so, how does one do it?

"Cannot convert blob"
I get this message every time I get ready to reply to a message in my group. It is in red and I can delete it.
Cannot convert blob:https://hyperaldosteronism.groups.io/10ef9c53-1709-4025-95ea-3d0b4875675b to Blob. Resource might not exist or is inaccessible.
Any way to stop it from appearing?
Thanks

donotreply email address
Gary Sandler
We recently implemented a SPF policy. Now instead of this From address appearing for our members: main@groups.[domain] <digestnoreply@groups.[domain]> we now see digestnoreply via groups.[domain] <digestnoreply=groups.[domain]@groups.[domain]> Is there any way to set how the Digest form "from" address gets populated? We just want to get rid of that digestnoreply as it isn't very descriptive to our subscribers. Ideas? Gary Sandler

Bizarre Glitch
Laura Croome
Hi!
Hoping someone has experienced this weird glitch and can offer some advice... I have a subgroup: PeopleAndCulture And I want to add a Group Email Address: peopleandculture For some reason I keep getting the error message Cannot contain spaces, pluses, or underscores, 34 characters max. 'deopleandculture', 'peoplenandculture' etc. no problem but peopleandculture prompts the error mesage. I have tried clearing my browser cache and restarting my computer but the same issue. Thank you in advance for any help, this is driving me crazy! Laura

Any Dependency on Initial Group Owner/Creator?
I am one of a couple of co-owners of a group that was created by another gentleman several years ago. He passed away recently, and I am trying to figure out if there is anything we need to do to ensure that the group is not dependent in some way on his original account and whether his family can safely ask that his account be closed.
I have searched this forum for phrases like "transfer owner", "original owner" and so forth. All I have found are posts where people are asking if ownership can be recovered when the sole owner of a group has become unavailable for one reason or another. Many people stress the importance of having multiple "owners" to avoid this. So... we have multiple owners and will ensure that this remains true going forward. From the sounds of it, groups.io got this right, understanding that group members (and owners) may come and go over the years, so there is nothing further that we need to do. Can anyone whether this is true or not? Marty Wise Gloucester, Virginia, USA

Re: Invoice for paid version of Groups
Thanks everyone for your responses, much appreciated,
I have been to Accounts > Billing and clicked on the "invoice number" but what I get is not an invoice but a receipt - it's even headed 'receipt'. So perhaps the number should be referred to as 'receipt number' instead. Nonetheless, if the USA doesn't have a VAT charge then we don't need to worry about it. Cheers, Christine

Does the request limit the amount of the total donations received to the specified amount of the request? If not, what happens to the excess funds? My info is based on what I've seen in other groups since I've never used donations. The amount shown is just a reminder and doesn't control donations. It's up to the person that opened the request (or another owner/mod) to close it when a sufficient amount has been donated. (It can later be reopened if so desired.)
