Re: Member Getting Certificate Error
Thank you so much for responding. I checked with the user, and she is getting this message on all devices. Computer, ipad and phone. Time/Date settings on all devices are accurate. I'm going to check in with her later and see what else we can do to try and resolve.

Member Getting Certificate Error
I have a member of our group that was able to get to our site yesterday, and now today is getting this certificate error. Does anyone have any insight into this? To the best of my knowledge no other users in our group are having this issue. Kind regards - - Linda

Shal, I didn't think to look at the Email History before I changed all of them to Individual Messages in Subscriptions which, incidentally, have been received without any issue.
Since all the groups had activity, the History now shows the last Individual message for each so I have just changed them back to Daily Summary. I will have to wait until the next Daily delivery cycle in the morning. FYI, the Message Trace utility on O365 includes all spam and emails rejected due to SPF, DKIM and/or DMARC failiures so it is somewhat like searching the raw connection logs of a email server. Also, I didn't see Switching to summary from digest until I posted my query but it speaks about this very issue. It is very odd that some people seem to be unaffected.

Not likely. Perhaps you could start a new topic to explain what your members are experiencing.
My first thought is to ask the affected members to check the very bottom of the footer on two such messages - next to the Unsubscribe link is the email address to which that message was sent.
If those are different then the mystery is solved, and all that remains is for them to unsubscribe the excess membership, or change its Email Delivery setting to No Email (or Digest, or Summary, or Special Notices).
If those are the same, then some digging into the message header of such a pair might help resolve how this is happening.

Re: Groups set for "Daily Summary" have not been received after 5/20/2020

Jim, Has anyone else noticed this with groups that have "Daily Summary" set? I've been receiving them daily for GMF, no problems. That said, you're not alone: see also the recent topic Switching to summary from digest. I was thinking I should try Individual messages on those groups for a day and then change it back on Sunday to see what happens. That's probably a reasonable experiment. Maybe there's a bug in the controls to set the Email Delivery, rather than in the delivery mechanism itself.
Have you looked at the Email Delivery History tab of your Subscription page in those groups? There may be further information there: Groups.io's log of what occurred in one or more of the three panels (recent successful, unsuccessful, or bounce). If the most recent day's summary is listed in any one of them that would stand in contradiction to your Message Trace result. Unless of course your Message Trace excludes the case of a successful delivery to your Spam folder. That's always another thing to check. You probably did but since you didn't mention it I figured I would. Groups set for "Daily Summary" have not been received after 5/20/2020
#bug
The groups I own are set for Individual Messages. I seem to be receiving all Individual messages without any exceptions. I know because I checked what I received against the groups.
However, I have not received any Daily Summaries for any group (such as GMF or beta) set as "Daily Summary" since my last receipt on 5/20/2020 at about 6 AM CT. As a company owner with 30 years of network administration, I subscribe to Microsoft Office 365 Enterprise Exchange services for maximum cloud flexibility. I did a Message Trace directly on my Exchange mail server (which checks the database and logs thereof) but no messages from Daily Summary groups have been rejected, which means the messages were not transmitted to our mail server or even attempted. Has anyone else noticed this with groups that have "Daily Summary" set? I was thinking I should try Individual messages on those groups for a day and then change it back on Sunday to see what happens. Jim Wilson

Likewise, if they could add their Display Name as a parameter to the +subscribe email, that would do it too.Nothing in the message body of a +subscribe email is parsed for anything...only the From address. The same confirmation email is also sent to someone who clicks the "Join This Group" button on your group home page without first logging in, so to have this work for everyone additional input fields would need to be added to that popup dialog. Maybe I'm missing something here...we just rolled the group out into production with Direct Add this morning. If you're using Direct Add, you can populate the Display Name at the time of adding by using the format: Display Name <emailaddress@...>
Of course, this only works if you already know that person's name. Hope this helps, Bruce Check out the new groups.io Help Center and groups.io Owners Manual

Thanks for the quick follow-up, Frances!
Yes, I saw those messages but I am trying to eliminate the extra email required to gather that info from the new subscriber. If that Confirmation email could be customized to ask for it before the new subscriber clicks on Reply, that would solve it. Likewise, if they could add their Display Name as a parameter to the +subscribe email, that would do it too. Maybe I'm missing something here...we just rolled the group out into production with Direct Add this morning. A pilot group of our club been kicking its tires the last couple of months so it's still a learning process. Thanks again, -chuck

Question about getting new members' Display Name when they subscribe
#subscription
#membershiprequest
When a user sends a request to join our group via an email to +subscribe, they automatically get an email saying:
SUBJECT: Confirm Your Groups.io SubscriptionThank you for your interest in Groups.io and the group <our group name>. To complete your subscription, please reply to this email. If they just reply, we only get their email address added to our Member list, which we then have to look up in our club's database then manually put in their Display Name. Is there any way to change that email or ask them in some other place to send their Display Name in the reply?

Re: Can you please tell if the Wikis here allow categories for pages?
Glenn Glazer
On MediaWiki wikis, categories provide convenient places to find out more information about similar things. For example, from the Yahoo! Groups Wikipedia page, I can click on the category link at the bottom:

https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Category:Electronic_mailing_lists to find out more information about other related services and software. It's an incredibly powerful data organizing tool. Best, Glenn P.S. Maybe someone needs to write a Wikipedia page on groups.io?

Not sure what you mean by “group” them? Can you elaborate or provide an example? I use a Wikipedia extension on another forum and I’ve not run across “categories” and maybe I’m missing something (a benefit) that is critical?
