If it was someone else's action that caused it, it ought to be that person to whom the sentence is addressed, not you. Had it started "You have been unsubscribed" from... then the rest of the message would make sense, but it doesn't.
Given that this is not the first time the wording of a "standard message" from Groups.io (as opposed to a Group Owner / Moderator) has caused confusion within the last 10 days or so perhaps it is time to make a request that all "standard messages" should be visible for review by Owners and Moderators to make sure there aren't any others that are less than 100% clear in their meaning.
