If this is a new group, you need to be aware that you
can't upload files or photos on a Basic group. If you allow
attachments, you can still have those stored with the group
messages.
To be fair, Google Groups doesn't have that feature either.
You can establish a link to a Google Drive or some such, but
Google Groups itself provides no community storage.

My evaluation is that the features offered by groups.io are a
superset of those that Google Groups offers. As importantly, there
is this group and the beta group if you have problems. If you have
problems with a Google Group, good luck getting a hold anyone there.
