I was also wondering if the members will be added directly or be given an "invitation" to join, since some of the older information that I have read seemed to indicate that that is what will happen. But I see from this example that members are added directly, and then given the option to unsubscribe.

Also, silly of me, but I have actually received such a message myself very recently when a group that I'm a member of, joined. The text of the message is:


The owner of the OLDGROUPNAME Yahoo Group has moved the group to, a new Groups service. You have been subscribed to the new group using your email address MYMAILADDRESS. The title of the new group is NEWGROUPNAME user forum, and messages can be sent to it at The group homepage is located [here].
