Saturday forecast

Mark Conner N9XTN

There's quite a bit of uncertainty going into Saturday's forecast, with two general trends.  One is that a warm front will be lifting northward from Missouri and generating broad areas of showers and isolated thunderstorms Friday night into Saturday, then a cold front arrives late Saturday afternoon with clearing skies for early Sunday.  The rain would probably be heavy enough Saturday morning to make it difficult at best to have a launch.

The second is that the frontal system is held to the south and Pella remains under cool high pressure with relatively clear conditions through the weekend.

So far, the area NWS offices are not placing strong bets either direction, and going with a middle-of-the-road approach for Saturday - "chances of rain but not a washout".

Since their on no strong NWS bets, I have decided to go with the second trend!!!
Please inform the NWS so they don't waste time on working the first scenario!
