For NSTAR, N9XTN-11 will be on 144.34 MHz with APRS and N9XTN-12 will be on 144.39 MHz with APRS. At present I'm not planning any other RF payloads.
I think we're agreeing that 144.39 beacons will

Usually at GPSL we coordinate the initial chase teams. That is one part of the pre-flight meeting on Friday afternoon.
EOSS always has more that enough folks to assist other single vehicle teams.

Hey Mike (and all),
KG5PVB and I will be attending for the first time, only planning to chase right now. From what I’ve heard, there isn’t as much coordination on who chases what? Is there

Does anyone need chase vehicle help at GPSL?
Hey Gang,
I'll be attending GPSL. I'm up in the air, so to speak, as to whether I want to launch a balloon, or just help someone who needs foxhunting assistance. I'll have my fully equipped 4wd

Years ago at the GPSL gathering in Hutchison I presented a valve controlled balloon design that would get both a linear ascent and descent, not so much for re-use but rather for more controlled float

It makes me want to engineer a way to refly weather balloons. I think two rolls of duct tape should be

My trackers use 2200 mAh rechargeable LiPos. These are the RC car batteries you find at hobby shops.
That reminds me, I need to purchase another one. I accidentally over discharged one by forgetting

Actually I've been using the Eveready L91 AA lithium batteries for most regular flights...they are pretty good capacity and can handle the cold temperatures. But they still do make the big honking mil

That is kind of what I did with my GPSL predictions only manually. I always ran 6 predictions, 60K, 90K & 105K burst 1100FPM & 850FPM Asc/desc. Then for good measure I would add the habhub
