Garmin GPS-35 HVS Mod
FYI
Just thought I'd share my GPS Mod page!
I added an internal preamp to my Garmin GPS-35HVS TracPak. This is the HVS
(12v) version.
It is still in the vehicle and working great.

As I was thinking about this question, it occured to me - it was probably answered at
the GPSL symposium. IF that is the case you can ignore it and I'll accept the

As Mark will attest, I'm always begging for this sort of
information (sometimes even begging won't work) for the same
reason as Bill, except it's for LIFTWIN which is based heavily
on Bill's DOS

Thanks for filling in some of the gaps Hank! I think I got it. The light bulb
started glowing with the "OH" in my previous email.
Let me see if I have this right.

Re: GPSL EXCEL Ascent Rate Charts
What's remarkable is that KA0JLF and N9XTN got about the same profile
from substantially different trains. N9XTN used a single 800g balloon,
while KA0JLF used one each of a 600g and 300g balloon.

Re: first GPSL photos!
I must say, I was very pleased with the 600/300 gram combination. I will be
doing more testing with this in the near future.
Please correct me if I'm wrong. I think Project Traveler used a 600 gram
