Even a laptop with the camera pointed at the screen would be better than going dark for the day.  If it can't be done live, the next best is to have someone record it and upload the video after.

Audio and the Slide Deck are often the limiting factors when doing live stuff like this.  It almost takes a full time person and a sound board to make this happen.

Re: Balloon Suppliers

Derek Sigler

My group usually orders 1200g balloons from Kaymont Consolidated .  Price is reasonable and he went out of his way to help us once on a tight shipping schedule and snafu.  So we're going to stick with them.  Ships out of Florida.

Dennis Klipa - N8ERF

Jason,

I buy my balloons from Kaymont and never had a problem.  I can't comment on whether you would consider them inexpensive.  With $1500+ in payload and hundreds of student hours involved, inexpensive isn't my primary concern.

BTW, I lifted a 40 lb model of a house from the movie "Up" with an 800 g balloon from Kaymont for a high school band competition. I’m not sure that is relevant but it was pretty cool.

Best Regards,
Dennis, N8ERF

Places to Visit in the Treasure Valley on Friday

The Treasure Valley is the name of the southwestern valley in Idaho. It encompasses the Idaho/Oregon border to about the town of Mountain Home. It's largest two cities are Boise and Meridian.

The attached document gives a fee places spouses might want to visit on Friday during the technical portion of GPSL.

I have additional materials from the Visitors Bureau that I will hand out on Thursday when we meet for wine tasting. If you have not already, please identify your designated drivers.

Thanks

Zack, lunch will be catered by Zupas and they will charge $10 per order. Attendees have two choices, the sandwich or salad box lunch.

Can you post the link on my attached text file and ask attendees to pick their lunch choice so they can tell me? People need to pick One of the sandwiches or salads on the menu.

I'm waiting to hear from Panera on breakfast.

I'll pick up snacks for the afternoon myself.

After I get Panera's cost, I think I'll be ready with a total price for attendees.

Anything else you can think of?

I can’t seem to get to the selections without creating a new individual registration.   Is there any way to view the menu without doing that?   Also, neither my son or I are picky about food, so if you just want to pick something for John and Ed Kovac, we’ll be fine with whatever you choose.

We are getting some tanks of gas donated (thanks Dr. Ebener), so I will be sending a reduced bill for gas shortly.

Thanks for being patient while I work out the logistics. I want I have a plan to pick up and store the gas and to purchase an extra tank in reserve.
