Hi Ken,
Hope you are all staying safe. Any questions on GAPA? Ernie

Hi to all!

I hope everyone is coping well within the boundaries imposed upon us by the COVID-19 pandemic. All is well here in SoCal!

I must be missing something here with regard to garnering these awards. What is required to confirm that the QSOs one applies for actually took place? Is GAPA on an honor system? Is LoTW confirmation required? I’m new to your system and would like to apply for a couple of the certificates. They are beautiful!

Looking forward to your clarification!

All,

I just got my order of GAPA "QSL" cards from UX5UO. Try turned out great. The idea is have some of these on hand and when mail out a QSL card, add one of these to the envelope.

If you are interested in helping us promote GAPA, send me an email with your mailing address and I will send some of the cards.

Thanks,

Hi Alan and Group,

Even though I don't use QSL cards anymore - I'd like to pass out them to friends, so only need a dozen or so.  TU 73 Rich, K3VAT

Re: VE4 [Finally]

Very good Alan! Likewise, the vast majority of my VE4s are EN19.

We're still pretty much staying home all the time except for some grocery shopping, but luckily have ham radio to pass the time.  I'm concentrating on the two active marine mobile stations (F5MYK/MM and RA0LQ/MM), but Francois just headed into the Indian Ocean which is a tough path with wire antennas.

GL to all !!

All,

Finally got six different grids for Manitoba VE4, been looking since 2015. I can believe everyone there lives in Winnipeg EN19. I have at least 50 confirmations for the Winnipeg area. Now I just need to finish VO1 and VO2 :)

Hope everyone is staying safe and is having a good summer. Keep the applications going to Ernie.

All,

The man behind the curtain has been busy redesigning the Neptune Award for confirmed contacts with marine mobile QSOs in grid squares that do not touch land. Recent changes in LOTW have made it easier for MM operators to identify the grid they are on in the LOTW QSL process. Again, Ernie WM2U has done a great job with another award.

Give this one a shot and get the word out about GAPA.
