Hi Folkies, ich spiele schon lange Geige, Irish Folk, Bluegrass, Country, Latin-American, und hätte Lust mit einem Gitarristen/in Instrumentalstücke und Lieder mit zweistimmigem Gesang zu spielen. Vielleicht mal für Straßenmusik, Party oder Pub.
Eine andere Idee wäre noch, mit einem zweiten Melodieinstrument zu spielen. Ich würde mich freuen, wenn sich jemand meldet... LG Marlon J. |

Gaelic speaker needed

Hi all,
as some of you may know, besides playing the bodhrán and trying to learn the flute, I work as a writer. An editor of audio plays whom I got to know through my work and who knows that I am into Irish traditional music has asked me for help. Currently, she is preparing the audio recording of a children's book. The text contains about 50 words/short phrases in (Scots) Gaelic, but unfortunately, nobody knows how to pronounce them. Is there anybody around who does speak Gaelic and who would be willing to read the words aloud to be recorded as an example? Me or somebody else would come around with an mp3 player and a bottle of wine, record the spoken words and leave with the mp3 player only. The whole thing should take no more than maybe ten minutes. The recording could be done at almost any place, depending on where it would be most convenient. Any help in this matter would be greatly appeciated. Cheers, Moritz P.S.
