Portlite gasket

Steve

Can anyone give advise on finding replacement gaskets for portlites? The current ones on my boat are very small. Probably 1/8 inch and I can't locate any that small.

Did you check with Pacific SeaCraft. They are not making Flickas, of course, but they may be able to help with parts. http://www.pacificseacraft.com/

My experience this past year or two has been that PSC totally abandoned Flickas.  In years previous, 'Thumper' still worked for them and he was the repository of Flicka knowledge.  It's my understanding that he retired (and had some health issues?), so there's pretty much no one there that really knows Flicka history etc.

I hope someone finds out otherwise...

To be clear:  I would still try.  I haven’t had luck, but hopefully I just didn’t stumble on the right person :-/.
Let us know how it goes!!

If you search for gaskets you will find many threads on sources for them.

Steve Brodie has returned my calls often personally. Like any business they need to focus on keeping afloat!
But, this group should have most of the answers to your questions!

Hi Steve,

I found the gasket channels to be two different sizes on my Flicka. I bought from a local source.
Gasket Specialties, Inc.
13035 NE Airport Way
Portland, OR 97230
503-257-8816

1 strip NA15   3/8” x 1.25” x 10’  60 duro neoprene
4 strips NA25  3/8” x .313 x 24”  neoprene 50A
Laser cut. I fitted them with lapped joints.

It helped that I was local, went in person…an older woman with small non-commercial project:  $35.80

O’Reilly had some black adhesive used for windshield sealant.  $12.50+

I got replacements for all my portlights from Beckson.  Mine are the plastic portlights, not sure if they are same fir bronze ones.

Here is the Beckson link:

Good luck!
