What a neat solution!  I am looking for a way to lower the main sheet traveller.  The bar separate from the push pit rail looks interesting.  Is it attached somehow to the pushpit rail uprights, or just to the rail?

My Flicka came without a push pit (stern pulpit). Got some pricey quotes and long lead times. Fashioned one myself using frame materials from Sailrite and was a lot cheaper.  I had some 1” stainless steel tubing and just bought 2 of their pre-bent bows.

A couple of years ago I went over to Newport Beach to order a Flicka pushpit from Railmakers. They gave me the run-around for two months before I was finally told my job was too small.
They made pulpits for NorSea’s also but Bob Eeg, who constructed NorSeas, reported he could only get them if he ordered in batches of 6 (I think he said).
You probably got a $2000 quote because they didn’t want to do it.

If we could get a few people who wanted to order a bow pulpit and/or a stern pushpit (is that the correct term? Sounds right) then we might get their attention.
Otherwise, don’t bother with them.
In the Seattle area there should be lots of good sources?

Try  The Guy there told me they have the old jigs for the flicka  20 and he quoted me a stern pulpit for $2000. I thought it too expensive for me though.
I too would like a used one but I could not find any on line.

Hey everyone,

I’m new to the group, and just purchased a 1979 Flicka (I think it’s hull 10). She came with the name “passages” and despite the state she’s in, I can tell someone once really cared for her. I’m already elbow deep in a list of projects, and wanted to ask the community if anyone has had any experience replacing the bow pulpit? I’ve contacted PSC and gone as far as checked out some salvage yards, without having any luck. I have the measurements I need to have one custom fabricated, but thought I’d reach out to y’all first and fall back in your wisdom.
