Mouse Control
Jose Rivera - KP4FMD <jollito@...>
Can I use the mouse to select a signal in the scope ? Can I drag the scope ?
In general, what operations can I perform on the scope using the mouse ? 73 de KP4FMD

You can click on the freq on the scope, but the scroll wheel will not fine tune. You have to grab a knob to fine tune. Chris N7GYL

I tried it and couldn't get it to work. Could be operator error. I'll have to try it again. John K7FD

I have a Verbatim Wireless Keyboard/Mouse I will try when I get my MP.
But, it could be a Driver issue. I'll check with YAESU Tech Support.

If it is the case, it would be fine to use an external large touchscreen. :) Best regards, Ludovic - F5PBG http://radioamateur.forumsactifs.com/t2196-yaesu-ftdx101-avis

Mine is a Logitech M570 wireless mouse. Tried it again but no success. Don't see a cursor show up on the display.

I tried two different wireless mouses. One works fine, the other does not work. So yes it can work with a wireless mouse.

Hoi Eeltje, I tried two wireless mouses, both failed to function. Could you please list the mouse manufacturer and exact mode/type of the wireless mouse that did work at your end? Vy 73, de Kees - PA7TWO

Kees I have a Logitech M310 that works. But I have to say I'm not wild about the cursor that stays on the screen when the mouse is connected. Interestingly, the mouse appears when a keyboard is connected too! I have a stylus for an iPad that I use instead and like it a lot. 73! -Brian n8wrl

Hi Brian, Tip: If you move the cursor all the way to the right side of the TFT screen, that way the cursor is not visible anymore. Interesting fact about when keyboard is used the cursor is displayed. Maybe because some keyboards have a mouse ball incorporated? I use a stylus pen as well, but yeah, ultimately I would like to use a wireless trackbal mouse... But cannot find any info on what make/model works wt the FTdx101 radio... And they are expensive to buy... Vy 73, de Kees - PA7TWO

What I really wanted was an external touch-screen monitor. The one I have is a "multi-point device" - not a mouse. Oh well 73 -Brian n8wrl

Hi Kees
I use the Logitech M235. That one works fine but it is an old M235. As I recall the newer M235 do not Always work. 73 de Eeltje

Hi, I use an old Logitech marble mouse (trackball) which is wired but works superbly well. I keep the cursor to the side of the screen until I need to select something. You may be able to get a second user one on ebay. See my QRZ page for picture of set up. 73 Howard G3YZY

Interesting fact about when keyboard is used the cursor is displayed.
Maybe because some keyboards have a mouse ball incorporated? -------------------------------------- I believe Logitech uses a "unified" USB/wireless dongle that connects multiple Logitech devices to the computer using just one dongle. I understand the idea is to minimize the number of wireless dongles you are using when you have multiple wireless devices, such as wireless keyboard, wireless mouse, and perhaps more. Therefore, you would expect to see the mouse when the keyboard is connected. I think ... ! ;-) Happy trails. K8JHR __________________________________
