Preset is a pain in the neck!

Using 600 Hz filter with the digital modes
There is a notch button for MAIN and one for SUB. The MAIN notch button is in the MAIN row of controls below the SUB row controls.

CW Decode speed vs CW Keyer Speed
I've added separate decoder and keyer speed settings as item 51 on my wish-list. Better yet would be if the decoder would auto-detect speed. I'm almost exclusively CW so only tried the decoder a coupl

IMO, the 3DSS is not useful and is just a gimmick. A waterfall better displays the same information. Averaging in this case means in the frequency dimension so that instead of just seeing single pixel

Be aware there are air intake vents on both sides of the radio. I leave ~1cm on each side. If you call Yaesu USA, they will advise the same, despite marketing photos that show otherwise.

RIT with synchronized RX
I played around with this and find no way to do what you're looking for on the rig itself. I agree it would be good if RIT worked for both rxs when in SYNC mode.

How it works is described in a table on page 16 in the manual. There are two external speaker jacks. Basically, if you plug one spkr into jack A and one into Jack B, you get SUB on A and MAIN on B.
