Re: CT-178 cable to the Quadra
Fascinating....and surprising, at best. And they want $75 for a
simple straight through DB15 and RCA cable.... Not for me!

Steve
When you tire of having to turn the Quadra on to get to an antenna, do what several of us have done and build your own BAND DATA 1 cable.

Re: CT-178 cable to the Quadra
i made a cable that connects the ftdx101mp to band data 1 and alc 1 on the quadra . that way the amp can stay off and feed thru as long as the v/p 1000 is switched on from the front panel

CT-178 cable to the Quadra
Just received my 101d after owning and running the FT2000 for nearly 23 years with the Quadra. Am I wrong in concluding the connection from the 101d to the Quadra can be a simple "straight thru"

Re: TX screen control?
Hi
Also if you recorded a message you then can analyze it with the AF-FFT your frequency voice peak during the transmission. One way to see what the equalizer does.
Off voice subject, there are many

Re: TX screen control?
Jack, if you select "MULTI" you will see an oscilloscope on the left and AF-FFT on the right, as well as the waterfall above it. When you transmit, those waveforms will reflect the transmitted audio.

Thanks for the non-reply. I take it you don't have a clue about the question. Hopefully someone else will.

Re: Recording CW sidetone
I use OBS to livestream.
In SSB using MONI on the 101D, the viewing audience can hear both my radio and my microphone, however in CW, they can hear the radio, and they can also hear me sending CW

Re: Recording CW sidetone
Fred,
I have not tried it but if you put MONI on to get the sidetone from the
101, I would expected what I hear on the headphones to come out of AF Out.
In which case you would either get received

Re: Fan problem
If in doubt to call them with your serial number, there was a hardware I think and also a software review to fix this noise or vibration for the D model at low fan speed. Problem not seen on MP

Re: howto connect ameritron AL811H ?
Hi
you got 2 choices, TX ground to key or the band data
Tx ground goes through a mechanical relay (10-15 msec) then you need to add your amplifier delay 10-15 msec. If you could setup RF output at 30
