First "real" FM Tuner? (Was: Re: onix bwd-1 f/s (not mine))
Hi Tim, If its already being fed through a power conditioner adding the snubber is probably redundant. You might try a ferrite on the mains and see if there's any improvement. Regards JohnC

First "real" FM Tuner? (Was: Re: onix bwd-1 f/s (not mine))
Hi John, Tim was referring to the "Camille" snubber, typically used on the mains, in the circuit well before the rectifiers in the power supply. Regards JohnC

The only practical consideration is the assembly of the balun itself. The smaller gauge wire allows you to wrap the ferrite a little tighter which is what you want, a tight wrap. If you use a Teflon i

Hi Folks, I attached a better pic of the T7 with a schematic, it's a 3 gang equivalent as best I can tell with 3 Ceramic filters. It used a double sided glass board with through hole plating, modding

Hi Bill, I went through an 8300 a long time ago. I had to dig out my worksheet to see what I did and forewarned, there's a lot to cover in there but the results are very good and its easy to work on.
