I have always wondered about using hardline...
In your experience will the losses of hardline to RG-XX couplers at
each end + pigtails

Pigtails? What are the losses of the couplers? It's usually over

of RG-6 defeat the loss advantage of using hardline for say a 40 ft

run? (@ 90Mhz)

I couldn't be bothered using hardline at 40 feet. Seems like overkill
to me.
