connecting cnc5 (MK4) to XP computer
Eric, The one combination I don't see in your post is 300,7,N,2. That's what I use and I get 100% error free transfers. That may be in a manual somewhere but I don't remember how I got to that point.

You can go to "settings" - "com ports" and then enable the comm ports in MFI. You will then get a menu for the parameters. From what I see below, the settings are off a little - probably parity, stop
