Try Izarc,
IT is still free near as I can tell, I am using it and it works fine,
drag and drop easily.opens any zip file.
Found it at Shareware
Even at $29.95 seemslike prety cheap money if a part you sell can pay
for a program one time, and use it forever.??

hallo,
I'm new in this group i live in the netherlands and i have a intresst
in all cnc i have a conventionel mill and a lathe (emco 11 cd).
now i bought a emco compact 5 cnc mk 3 or 4 ? it works with the m code.
Now have i a problem with the machine and i hope someone can and will
help me.
if i program: n01 g01 x-5 z-3500 f50
g00 x0 z 3500
m 30
then every time gives the x motor 1 or 2 step about every 8 mm during
the programm and ad the end of line n01 it gives about 5 steps .when i
give more feedrate the nummer of steps given in x increasse rappitly

so it gives steps in the dirextion x that i not have programmed
so i can't turn cilinders with it .
i think there is a problem in the driver board????
sorry for my english i do my best

Hi. Piet

Not rilly sure what your trying hear, you have no start point so it
ignores the first line n01, It think's it a stare point and your code
will cut a taper cut from x-5 to z3500 rapid move's x5 out while
moving z7000.

Try this code.

g00 x0 z0 start ref
g01 x-10 z0 f50 x moves -10 in at f50
g01 x-10 z-1000 f50 z moves -1000 left at f50
g00 x0 z0 x z move back rapid 0 0 to start point
m30 end code

There is a link to opp's manual in file's section.

Hope this help's

Re: step problem

afn09556 <afn09556@...>

Hi. Piet

I sort'a blew it on this one the code need's to be.

When you turn on the machine it start's in INC mode g91.

G00 x0 z0
g01 x-5 z0 f50
g01 x0 z-3500 f50
g00 x5 z0
g00 x0 z3500
m30

The code I used was for ABS mode g90.

g92 x0 z0
g01 x-5 z0 f50
g01 x-5 z-3500 f50
g00 x0 z-3500
g00 x0 z0
m30

Sorry I made a mistake on this one.

The Good News is your machine is working ok.

Hi. Piet

I sort'a blew it on this one the code need's to be.

When you turn on the machine it start's in INC mode g91.

G00 x0 z0
g01 x-5 z0 f50
g01 x0 z-3500 f50
g00 x5 z0
g00 x0 z3500
m30

The code I used was for ABS mode g90.

g92 x0 z0
g01 x-5 z0 f50
g01 x-5 z-3500 f50
g00 x0 z-3500
g00 x0 z0
m30

Sorry I made a mistake on this one.

The Good News is your machine is working ok.

hi chip,

1. In Gcode the X and Z will move in both direction's, + and - ?
yes

2. In Hand mode it dose move X and Z. ?
yes

3. If your trying to cut a cilinder dose this work ?

yes

when i program :
G00 x0 z0
g01 x-5 z0 f50
g01 x-5 z-3500 f50
g00 x0 z-3500
g00 x0 z0
m30

than everything works but by Go1 it moves x-5 then start to z-
3500
after about z-500 the x goes 0.01mm to -x so at the end of z-3500 x
sould be x-5 but x is then x-12!!!!
so the problem is that the pulsen to the x are not stady so the
computer send about every 5mm travel in z one pulse to -x

the result is that the cilinder is trapped (and is for example
12
mm) the end is than not 12minus0.1=19.9 mm (SIE PROGRAM)
the end is than 12minus0.24=11.76 mm
every 5 mm is a trap of 0.01 mm
I hope this will clear things up.

greetings piet
