When I grab the underside of the turret motor of the Turn 55, I can pull it up quite a bit so the is so play in it. To improve the accuracy it want it to be solid and I think I have to set the hex

As far as I am aware the floppy only stores the G Code which is currently in the machine memory.
I have never had the disk working so I couldn't say if it stores anything else.

I have work whit the 6800 and 6502 and I guess that I still have part in my place. But it have no sens to put that lot of time in a pcb board like that. You have to write new code in machine language

I would also be interested in any data you get on the floppy system. My VMC100 with T2 also had a floppy installed that has never worked. I switched with a tape drive and it's fine but the floppy

You will also have to replace the spindle motor. Lesson makes a 5hp metric frame motor that would fit the motor pulley. VFD will be spendy. 3HP motor may do you well. Depends on the parts you plan on
