Re: Compact 5CNC CPU schematic
Keith and friends,
Your quest got me looking at the FDD on my machine again. I originally thought the 3.5” drive was the problem as everything else worked after I had cleaned up all the contacts

Ah, I was thinking you had sorted the 5v matter. I don't think you'll get anywhere till that is done ! The alarms are a big clue there I think.
Sounds like the FDD controller was designed for

Hi JG,
Thanks for the two attachments I'm sure they will be very useful.
As far as soldering goes I would at one time have thought nothing of unsoldering a 40 pin chip with an iron and de-soldering

You don't have a 6 axis turret. You mean you have a 6 Tool turret?
What sensors are on your turret? Pictures and descriprion please.
It sounds like you are trying to use the 4bit gray logic truth

Hi JG,
Thanks for your reply.
As you say the black box approach is probably best.
I do have quite a lot of test gear but it doesn't seem to be getting me too far at the moment.

I do have a snapshot from my EMCO spreadsheet detailing the PIO map for the Stepper Drive/Tape Drive Interfaces which may or not be useful to you as a start.
The data is only for an F1 Mill
