You need the PC, the controllers will only interface with the PC, much like a standard keyboad

Re: New to CNC and the group with a couple questions

Can someone help me get the lathe always working manually using the controller or do you need the pc to even hook up the controller?

Re: New to CNC and the group with a couple questions

marty_in_mesa

I suggest you have someone knowledgeable with PCs check it, and also make sure it is connected properly, and configured properly in the computer Bios. It indeed may be bad but it's worth double checking

What makes you sure the hard drive is dead?

Re: Spindle bearings for Compact 5 CNC

FRANCOIS JACQUES

Bonjour Marcus

My bearings are bad and needs replacing.
The parts catalogue says it's standard 6006 2Z.

But for precision parts, should'nt one get better tolerance than standard? The machine has held very nice tolerances in the patch. Less than 0.001 mm.

Also the serpentine washer is called 6006/2K in the parts catalogue, but that seems to be an old standard, does anyone know what it's called now. So far i've googled in vain.

Hi

I have more or less all documentation made for the t1 and tm02 controllers.
Both mill and lathe
Programming, instruction, electrical, MSD and MSD explanations and much more.
Some I have as regular manuals, some as pdf files.
I'm in progress of scanning the manuals.

Hi all,
I'm wondering about the functional differences between T1 and T2. Has anybody worked on both in order to compare them? Is the T2 only easier in use or does the T2 offer functions or opportunity the T1 can't do at all? In detail I'm wondering if it is possible to make internal teeth on either T1 or T2 by pushing the bit in x direction and turn the jaw chuck only to get the teeth (no continously turning).

Thank you very much for your feedback!

Re: PCturn 50 tool change command

@Travis_S

If it follows Fanuc syntax (which it should) it should just be T0101;

M6 is generally not used on lathes.

PCturn 50 tool change command

Hey does anyone know the tool change command for the turret to change tools? I tried m06 T0101 and it says value too long. I also tried t01 and nothing.  I’m able to press CTRL-1 and it rotated but not in the program. Thanks.
