I just got back from Dayton and there was quite a crowd around the Elecraft booth all weekend. They're taking lots of orders. I was going to purchase a new radio at Dayton and had narrowed it down to the FT- 2000 or possibly the IC-756ProIII. Then they announced the IC-7700 and K3. After reading everything I could, the K3 is the front-runner. I didn't purchase one yet but it's in the crosshairs. My main interests are contesting and DXing, especially on top-band (160m). It's very important to have a bullet proof front-end and exceptional filtering. I believe the K3 will be outstanding in this area and has all the bells and whistles you can think of. Can't wait to see the reviews from actual users.
