Larry, First, you should not need an external sound card. If you go into Control Panel and select Sound, you will have a Playback and Recording Tabs. These should be where you point WSJT-X in setup. A

I would call that a second receiver, not a panadapter/bandscope. I use an SDR-IQ with SpectraVue software for my bandscope. SpectraVue knows all about the K3/K3S i-f output frequencies v. mode and BW

I would be tempted to put it on 40 (mid-band) and tweak trimmers C132 and C153 just a little and remember where they are set so you can return if needed. I've had some of these go intermittent on my K

Somewhere in the literature for the K3S I saw mention of digital correction of the TCXO. I posed a question about it and never got a reply. But the TCXO has only three pins so it can't have any. Wes N
