First, ckeck your clocking
Second,Close WSJT-X, rename the ini file, restart WSJT-X and reconfig like new installation.

After further investigation my situation appears to be a bit more bizarre.
Normally I run FT8 using a K3s/KPA500 but, as I also have an IC-7300, I have a WSJT configuration for that radio as

Right click on the SPKR icon in the lower right of the PC. Then select OPEN SOUND SETTINGS. Then under INPUT select DEVICE Properties., Under LEVELS set the slider to about mid scale. It will say

I just hit this issue with libgtk-x11 a couple days ago. You have to install the i386 (32 bit) version of the library. I don't know what tool mint uses, be it apt or yum or what, but on debian I

I had this with my K3. I found that I had somehow moved the voltage control on the power supply. Resetting to 13.8v the warning went away. Look in this area before anything else.
