Most lightning damage I’ve seen comes from the antennas. A good ground and lightening arrestor system is important, but I still leave my antennas disconnected. I also use APC ups and plug strips

I’ve had a 20 foot cable between my amps (first KPA500s, now KPA1500) for years and no problem. The AuxBus has a slow data rate.
