Power for AM is 20 to 25 watts unless I'm driving the amp at which point the drive power is a bit less to get 250 watts carrier output as the amp has about 12 dB gain. .

Re: K3- Low Power Amplifier--RD15HVF1 FET failure?
I think if 1 were bad, power out would be zero. With power set to zero they will get hot to the touch fast. If ones bad it'll be cool.
You should be able to find info on this perhaps via babble or

Re: small problem in 6M
Jose; You need to put in the offset for your 2.7 filter!! Should be something like -.84 It should be on the sticker on the inside of the top cover.

K3- Low Power Amplifier--RD15HVF1 FET failure?
My K3 with built-in 100W amp power out into nice dummy load and LP100 wattmeter reads reasonably accurately as PWR is advanced to 6W. Then, with PWR set 6-12W, RF out maxes at ~4-8W depending on band.

Now I have uploaded a video where the reception difference between filter 1 and 2 is better appreciated.
