Re: [Elecraft_K3] PTX Monitor replacing the W2?
I sold my W2 and sensors when I learned of the functionality of the PTX. The W2 seemed a redundant box (in my situation) given the PTX, plus my existing KPA/KAT500 components.

Re: [Elecraft_K3] KAT3A option now includes bypass relay
The KAT3 is currently switched to the values for matching to a 50 Ohm
load to "switch it out". The "Tuner" section of TLW shows less than
0.1 dB "loss" for either a high- or low-pass L network at 50

PTX Monitor replacing the W2?
I have the W2 and two sensors, the 200 and the 2K hf ones. I'm thinking that I will sell the W2 and keep one of the sensors...probably the 200. I really need to know how to "broadband" the sensor and

K3S FAQ: Lower loss on bands where matched antennas are used.
I am curious about this. Can anyone explain how much difference and how the KAT3 is switched out presently. If the KAT3 is shown in

Re: [Elecraft_K3] vox/qsk and alt/test functions
Training is the key here I'm afraid.
The first year I brought my K3 to FD I made a quick guide that explained a few things like this Made sure to stress "TAP" vs. "PRESS&HOLD". Also discussed

Re: [Elecraft_K3] vox/qsk and alt/test functions
I don't believe this is possible with the current firmware - it would require some amount of change and would probably be best achieved with a config option to allow you to disable any function,

Not quite sure what you are "just sayin'" by that "human" remark, but you seem to be suggesting that Elecraft enters into the second-hand dealer space, maybe selling reconditioned K3s (K3's?) with

if Elecraft could do so without taking a significant financial hit. Also it would seem to

Your friend is almost 100% correct. He misses the mark on "low end truck stop food". It would require considerable improvement to reach that status.
