Re: [Elecraft_K3] filters
I too agree use lo/hi cut on ssb. You don't touch lo cut much and get a better sounding experience.
I've got a 1.8 but in casual operating rarely get that narrow, get close say 2.0 or 1.9 so my 1.8

Re: [Elecraft_K3] filters
Ed is absolutely right about using only HI CUT to make those narrow SSBfilters sound great.
By the way, I have some KFL-3A 1.8 KHz filters that are excess to myneeds. $115 each. Free USA

Hi,
Sigh. I couldn't agree more. I have never understood why so many people punish themselves by operating SSB using the SHIFT/WIDTH mode rather than the LOCUT/HIGHCUT mode.

that operators narrow the BANDWIDTH rather than simply decreasing HI CUT.

Re: [Elecraft_K3] filters
I have two "loaded" K3/KRX3s and I agree with a couple
minor changes.
1) Instead of paying for "matched" 500 Hz filters, I
would use two 400 Hz filters. The skirts are sharper
and the passband

Totally agree with what Bob stated.
In SSB contests I use the 2.1 filter and have the LO Cut at .35 and the HI Cut usually at 2.25-2.45.

Agreed. With the ability to narrow DSP at will, there is little to
be gained by further narrow crystal filters in the first IF. The

Hi All,
I’ve only tried foot switches a few times. My problem with the ones Itried was that I often had to “chase” them all over the floor as they shifted,or got nudged out of place.

The macros act the same as pressing the panel buttons. So press M2 and while the audio is playing press M1. If it doesn't chain you can't make it chain by using a simple macro to press the M2 and M1

Yes I was aware that I could repeat a stored message with the Hold function as you suggest. But my question relates to chaining two messages together - its not clear to me if this is possible.
