I set F1-F4 to send memory 1-4 using a regular keyboard connected to the P3. I programmed a Genovation CP24 USB HID programmable keypad to send F1-F4. Connected it to the P3. Never got it to work. Pressed a key and nothing happens. One of those projects I've been meaning to get back to.
Anybody have any success? 73, Bob K2QPN

no problems on "Project FI" - which is a google service for cell phones.. No problem at the office (netapp) -- in the Raleigh area... No problems at home on TIME WARNER. their DNS is augmented by other servers at the house.. and again *no problems.* Verizon has a bell shaped head that says "We can't have anything wrong.. we are the phone company" KK4QDZ - Now with Extra Class Priv's, and a tiny KX3 to enjoy them!

clients and routers negotiate packet sizes. I'm no IT guru, but in my readings, a maximum packet size (MTU) is set in the clients router/pc and the browser communicates this to the web server so a maximum packet size is sent. If the communication fails between client and server a default larger size may be sent by the web server and rejected as too large by the client. The problem could be on either end and I'm guessing in this case the problem rests with Verizon, but would try adjusting my MTU locally. From my reading on the Cisco site, 1492 bytes seems to be the magic number. Always something new to learn. 73, John W1AN

Re: [Elecraft_K3] K3 Sudden S9+45 Signal
Harm: I had a similar problem with my K3 about 3 years ago. I sent it back to Elecraft for repair. The condition was intermittent. They had it on the bench for about a week before it exhibited the problem. The S meter would go almost full scale and the RX would defense. Turned out to be a 5 V regulator chip that was causing the problem. They replaced the chip and it’s been 100% ever since. I’m sure that they have this problem noted in their records and what the fix is. Send service an e-mail ( or call ) and describe the problem. I bet they will have a fix for you. Good luck, Bob Hughes W7SNR Cave Creek, AZ I just had the noise level jump to S9+45 on my K3 SN # 7274.
