I didn't consider the message political either.  What he stated were facts and counterfeit APPs are relevant to those who own Elecraft K3(s).  I bought my K3 kit which included a power cable and APPs in 2010 and I have had no issues.

Sorry to make this political, but the answer is "Yes". The Chinese will counterfeit almost anything if it turns them a profit, but to be fair it is OUR greed that makes it happen. If WE didn't buy cheap garbage, the practice would die out.

I can see knocking-off a Rolex or a designer hand bag, but are Anderson Power Poles so expensive that fakes are economically feasible?
