Well, I just checked my K3s, and be damned it is not loose too. I have never used it (I use the rear panel one), so it has been that way from the get-go. I also have a K3 (was replaced by the K3s when it was released) that I retired to my ARES go-kit, and use for FD every year (CW only). My guess, is the case being "loose" is normal, normal.
