That's not a bug, it's a feature.
And it's configurable in the P3's SVGA menu, something like 'Wfall Mkrs'...

I have the VGA adapter and an external monitor connected to my P3. When Marker A is enabled (I didn't try Marker B), the bottom pixel of the marker overlaps the top of the waterfall and scrolls down with time, leaving a trace on the waterfall. This doesn't happen on the built-in display on the P3 just the external monitor.
