Re: Confused on K3-Remote and microphones

Another related question: If you want to combine the use of an electret microphone with sound-card based digital voice keyer messages, or if you simply want to switch back and forth between SSB (with the electret mic) and sound-card digital modes, you aren't going to want to have to change the jumper every time. If you leave the jumper in the position that supplies bias, I am guessing that in addition to an attenuator you will also need a blocking capacitor between the sound card's high-level output and the RRC's input? or is there a better way to do this?

The microphone jack is actually on the RRC's AUX/MIC jack. If you use a K3/0, then this is just passively routed through to its microphone jack.

So to answer your question: yes, it doesn't matter.
