Windows 10 or Windows 11? #fmd-s2
Jerry
Hello to everyone. I have been out of the radio monitoring game for over 5 years. I would like to
start listening again. My SDR is the FDM-S2. From the collective experience, would the latest Elad software tend to play nicer with Windows 10 or 11? Or does it not really matter? Also would be using SDR Console and other similar programs. Wouild certainly appreciate any advice. Thanks. Jerry |

I'm running W11 and 3.56 and have no problems. Ditto W11 and 3.55. Doesn't hurt to have a stout computer.

Hi jerry,
Really doesn't matter. I write SDR Console on W11, test on W7 32- and 64-bit. 99% of users are on W10, W11.
For the best user experience (yuck!) a good GPU always helps. Doesn't have to be super-funky - I use a GTX1070.

Doesn't matter. Been there, done that (with SDR sw in general, not specifically Elad sw).

I use Windows 10 with FDM-S2 (along with SDRPLAY, EXPERT SDR2 and others) and they all run perfectly well on my tiny MINI SHACK. I doubt that Win11 will bring any performance boost.

Thanks to everyone who took the time to reply, I found that you all were correct. So far, the Elad software and SDR Console both work
fine on my Win 11 laptops. |
