S3 and SDR-Console, 16 or 32 bit recording?
Bill Nollman
I prefer the SW2 interface but for an upcoming DXpedition I plan to use SDR-Console for WBFM to record Meteor Scatter as it has a built in database that will capture RDS data. When recording SDR-Console has the option to capture at 16 or 32 bit (24MHz BW).
My questions... 1. To anyone using SDR-Console, do you use 16 or 32 bit recording? 2. Looking at the S3 specs (below), does this tell me that 16 bit is all I really need anyway? Or is this spec something different? Thanks, Bill Nollman Farmington, CT |

I have tried both and found nothing gained by using 32 bit. I always use 16 bit.
