Newbie Question

Hi all, Just joined the group having purchased a lightly used FDM-DUO as part of my journey into "full on" SDR. Please forgive any "dumb questions" that may follow! One (not so dumb) question if I may, the radio came with a mic that appeared to have been dropped or stood on at some time in its life and I'm looking to replace it. No hand mic suggestion, but the Yamaha CM-500 electret headset works well (with the Heil adapter (Yaesu)).

My appologies. I just checked my Heil adapter and it is blue --- Icom not Yaesu.

ICOM is the correct RJ45 pinout.
See DUO manual page 83, green section,
4th line from bottom, where it says:
"Microphone Connectors RJ45
ICOM Compatible"

the process of upgrading my
DUO with the QSF-06 preselector and have the manuals in front of me ;-) Klaus, DK3QN
