Duplicates are not allowed in the bw/preset table,..,. warning message

Dr.Alexander Hahn

Hi all,
with the last updates I always get this warning message:
"duplicates are not allowed in the bw/preset table. Please check the
preset table in setup window".
I'm running ELAD_FDMSW2Setup_v3_046 now:

How do I get rid of that? No matter what I do in the setup, clicking default etc,
I always get that message...

I can't get the warning to appear in 3.041 even if I insert a duplicate manually into the config.

What is the value of FreqStepDefaultPreset in your Documents\ELAD\FDM-SW2\FDMSW2SwSetup.xml file look like?

Mine is:

<FreqStepDefaultPreset value="1/5/10/25/50/100/250/500/1000/2000/3000/4500/5000/7500/9000/10000/12500/25000/50000/100000/125000/150000/" />

Have you tried saving a copy of that xml file and deleting the original, then starting the program to see if it adds or changes anything whe it is re-created?  You'll lose any customisations, but you can parse out the changes with an XML-aware diff tool and paste back any cutomised sections, or just set those settings back as you like them and save the config.

I'll give 3.046 a try.

If I add a duplicate in setup in 3.046 it now warns me, but still saves it.  Check for a dupe of 1000 in the setup GUI, or compare the line in:

Documents\ELAD\FDM-SW2\FDMSW2SwSetup.xml

with mine, which is now:

<FreqStepDefaultPreset value="1/5/10/25/50/100/250/500/1000/2000/3000/4500/5000/7500/9000/10000/12500/25000/50000/100000/125000/150000/" />

The first two are my custom settings.

Funny it didn't warn about the dupe in 3.041, but deleted it silently on startup.

I guess this needs reporting as a bug. Behaviour should be that it warns you and tells you which is the dupe, or it should delete the dupe as it did previously.

Needs someone more patient than me to check all the options, including dupes of the standard values and dupes of nonstandard values.

If you can't find the dupe in the list, select Sort, then look again.

Oooh, if I sort the table with the dupe in, then save, it says "please remove line 9", but if I add it *without* sorting, I just get the "Please check the preset table"

At the mouth of the River Parrett, which flows through Langport in central Somerset where an uncle of mine was once a county policeman. ;-)
