SW2 crashes after Windows updates #fdm-sw2 #fmd-s2

Meanwhile I've found that there were additional USB-devices under the Human Interface Devices heading in Device Management that were enabled to power down. I unchecked all of them of course. I suspect that one of them named "HID-compatible digitizer" is the FDM-S2. Under the USB controllers there's also a mass storage device, an external HD that I use to store the I/Q recordings. It's now running a recording for several hours without issues, let's hope it'll last through the night.

That's OK and updated.

Nota:
I'm using only Box-PC's.

Checked this and the Root hub for USB 3.0 was enabled to power down. Unchecked this, fingers crossed. Thanks!

One thing you might want to check in Device Manager (in Windows) check the USB Root Hub. Check the Power Management option under Properties in Device Manager (Windows) and make sure the "Allow the Computer to turn off this device to save power" is not checked. Recently after a minor update mine were checked (they hadn't been before) and found that my Airspy Discovery was shutting down randomly.

Thanks, good to know that I'm not the only one but not so good to hear that there isn't a solution (yet).

For sure this is not depending on your FDM-SW2 or SDR Receiver.
It is depending on your system and Platform configuration.
Any suggestion is a guess as we don't have your PC in front.

Often it is depending on the Frameworks.

Here is a Link that is not resolving your problem i think but a Introduction into such problems.

Nota:
Check your actual Frameworks with a small program you can download here from my private Web-Site:

I have the same problem, already for a long time, but so far no response.

For the last few weeks I get crashes of the ELAD FDM-SW2 program: it suddenly stops while receiving, last night even during a recording, while no other program was opened.

I'm running it on a Macbook Pro with macOS 10.14.6, Parallels 15 and Windows 10, all updated to their latest versions. Does anyone know where this problem may come from?
