Right David! Now the registered Version "is somewhere" in a batch-file that sets up everything for ham-radio. Somehow 'fire-and-forget'.
fyi: I am using my FDM-DUO completely on remote. I am developping an front-end that can control the FDM-DUO in all aspects the SW2 does not have for all the set-up that normally must be done sitting in front of it... 73 Wolfgang, dl7nb Am 23. you even can start it with a saved config without the key. always two extra clicks are needed. But surely it is always a question of fairness how long you 'test' a program before you pay your fee! (I know what I am talking about. After some thousands of hour coding a programm some 500 OMs used it. Wolfgang is correct about VSPE. However, if you do use it unregistered, I don't think you can automate starting it with a saved configuration. With VSPE, you can save a configuration, then double-click the resulting .vspe file to start VSPE with that configuration already running. That allows you to do things like start a VSPE session pre-configured at Windows startup, or save different configurations for different rigs, etc. This feature is a timesaver for me (or, maybe I'm just lazy :). 73 - David, AG4F |

you can use the 64-bit Version without that key. It is only two clicks extra at start then everything is fine and works the same! I used it for a while this way before I bought that key. If logger32/N1MM support OmniRig, you can use that. OmniRig support is built into FDM-SW2. If they don't then you're probably stuck with VSPE. I use VSPE on Win 10 64-bit for the same purpose. It works flawlessly. I have up to 4 programs at a time all connected to the same rig/software.

Hello guys!
I have searched internet back and forth and unfortunately can't find an advice, so trying here.. I would like to virtually split the serial port to be able to use radio (Kenwood TS-590SG) with FDM-S1 as a panadapter and together with the logging sw (Logger32/N1MM) all synchronised by CAT commands (frequency reading). I have found that VSPE - Virtual Serial Port Emulator could do the job for me, but unfortunately I have got Win10 64bit and 64bit version of the VSPE is paid (25 USD). Second atempt was com0com and Hub4com, but this tool is above my computer skills.. Haven't you any advice about some free software for this purpose? If not can somebody confirm from own experience the VSPE 64bit is worth the money? Thanks in advance! WBR Stepan OK1CSS |
