Hooked up Hardrock-50 amplifier to FDM-DUO - Getting Demod Error
#fdm-duo
For the same $2200 that I would spend on the HR500, I purchased the KM3KM Mercury III 1.2KW amp. I do like my HR50, but the HR500 is over-priced in my opinion. With the Mercury III, 10w in = 665w out.

Mark, Glad the interface got you going OK. The Hardrock 50 is a great amp. I just got a Hardrock 500 kit completed a few weeks ago. It works great on the FDM-DUO, a very neat portable station. I would

That is exactly what I did and I get an error... I was surprised that I received an error. I'm wondering if there is a setting in either the DUO or the HR50 that needs to be set.

You can make a cable with RCA connector for the PPT JACK on the hard Rock and a 1/8 " plug with a stereo plug in the PTT JACK with only a connection to the tip and ground. Leave the ring connection op

I did use a stereo cable. I've ordered the interface from HobbyPCB, just wondering if I could rig something up in the meantime. Thanks. Mark

Did you use a stereo cable between the FDM-DUO and the Hard rock? A better way is to use the interface that Hobby PCB sells, that will allow the HR50 to band change automatically with the FDM-DUO. Bob

Wsjt-x stopped working - probably after a win10 update - it seems that there is a problem opening the audio input device. Can someone offer a suggestion on how to get back on the right track?? Thanks
