Yes I expect that you are right Koos. This is why it is better to use max gain, no agc and the demodulated audio and an audio power meter like Rob Sherwood and the ARRL do when quoting MDS. Otherwise

Probably the noise floor refers to the displayed noise floor on screen. That is determined by the width of the bins of the FFT, << 500 Hz. But, indeed, this is not documented very well... Koos PA0KDF

In a 500Hz BW a perfect receiver has ~ -174dBm/Hz + 26.9dB = ~ -147dBm, therefore -152dBm in 500Hz is impossible. I think that this must be a mistake. Regards Conrad PA5Y From: EladSDR@groups.io <Elad

Hello, we do not have this answer actually. Due to the difficulty to retrieve electronic components at a decent price, for now we produce the downconverter in batches of 10-15 pieces. Regards, Vianney

I can't see the bin size on the main display, but if it's 23Hz for instance, the s/n in the IF at 0.4 Hz bins would be around 17 dB lower for a very clean carrier. Compare the bin sizes then calculate
